Dr. Laddawan Jianvittayakit, Associate Dean for Environment and Sustainable Development, represented MUIC at the awards ceremony held on April 28, 2025 at Prince Mahidol Hall. On behalf of MUIC, Dr. Laddawan received a symbolic token of safety and also the Safe Educational Institution Award—which MUIC has won for the eighth consecutive year—and the Laboratory Safety Award from Peer Evaluation (for MUIC’s Chemical Laboratory Room 3504). MUIC was also granted the MU Safety Standard Certificate for 2024.
Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, presided over the ceremony hosted by the Center for Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management (COSHEM), and also personally handed the awards.
The event’s main objective was to cultivate a strong awareness of occupational health and safety within the university’s work, teaching, and learning spaces. It served as a platform to encourage both staff and students to acknowledge and adhere to Mahidol University’s safety regulations, comply with health and environmental standards, and exchange effective strategies for risk prevention and emergency preparedness within their respective departments.
