The Board Game Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), in collaboration with the Student Association of MUIC (SMO Ho-Hiw), hosted “Board Game Light,” a Loy Krathong-themed event designed to bring students together for a day of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition.

Held on November 5, 2025at the Ground Floor of Aditayathorn Building, the event incorporated elements of the traditional Thai festival creating a festive atmosphere. Participants not only enjoyed a variety of board games but also had the chance to meet new people and strengthen social connections in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Beyond socializing, “Board Game Light” provided an opportunity for students to improve their communication skills. As they played games that required both teamwork and individual strategy, attendees sharpened their decision-making and collaboration abilities. With over 100 participants, the event’s games encouraged creative problem-solving, helping students develop skills that can be applied in both academic and professional settings, all while having fun.

In keeping with the spirit of Loy Krathong, which is a time to release stress and start fresh, the event offered a much-needed escape from the pressures of university life. As students laughed, competed, and made new connections, “Board Game Light” provided a perfect outlet for relaxation and stress relief.
