Alumna Wins Gold Prize in Young Rising Stars of Science 2020
A Mahidol University International College (MUIC) alumna recently won the Gold Prize in the prestigious “Young Rising Stars of Science 2020” for her outstanding undergraduate research project.

Ms. Wanutcha Lorpaiboon (B.Sc. major in Chemistry) received her medal and certificate during the 46th International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology-based Innovation held on October 7, 2020 in Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok.
Her research project entitled, “Insights into the ligand-to-ligand hydrogen transfer from hydrogen donors to π-system type hydrogen acceptors supported by nickel N-heterocyclic carbene” is also her undergraduate thesis. Her adviser is Dr. Panida Surawatanawong of the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University.
Ms. Wanutcha graduated in Term 3 of AY 2019-2020 with 1st Class Honors (GPA: 3.91).
The competition was organized by the Science Society of Thailand under the Patronage of His Majesty the King.
