Course Withdrawal

Students are advised to discuss with the class instructor before requesting to withdraw from a course during the withdrawal period in week 10 of each trimester. The withdrawal period for each trimester is published in the Academic Calendar which can be downloaded from the MUIC website.

Withdrawal Reminder

1.      Withdrawal can only be requested through the SKY+ Application.
2.      Students are not allowed to withdraw from any English track courses, including ICME100 English Resources Skills, ICME101 Foundation English: Communication Skills, and ICGC101–ICGC106 Academic Writing and Research or English Studies (GC Level 1–3).
3.      Withdrawal requires the permission of the course lecturer.
4.      During regular trimesters, the remaining credits after withdrawal must be a minimum 12 credits (non-credit courses are included).
5.      Students will not receive a refund of tuition fees, and a W grade will be recorded on their transcript.
6.      The W grade will not be used in calculating grade point average (GPA), but W grade will also count for dismissal decisions.
7.      Students having W grades will not be eligible for an Honor degree.
8.      Students are not allowed to withdraw from any courses during the summer session.
