Instructors and staff members of Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Preparation Center for Languages and Mathematics (PC) gathered for a teambuilding workshop on the framework, curriculum, and new system development on September 19, 2025, at a hotel in Bangkok.

The PC teambuilding workshop started with an ice-breaking activity called “Where do you stand?”, led by Dr. Kerry Pusey. The participants must decide “where they stand” on issues after hearing each question or statement, move to the side of the room to indicate where they “stand,” and share some reasons with their teammates. After the activity, the instructors and staff members separated into two groups, academic and support staff, for review and development.

Mr. Joseph Serrani, the Director of PC, led the academic review and development session for the instructors under the theme of “Student Engagement.”

The purpose of the session was to evaluate current teaching practices and to enhance lesson planning in light of current educational theory, namely, frameworks of student engagement.

For the non-academic review and development session, Ms. Satja Sopha, Senior Secretary of PC, discussed with support staff the topic of “Developing PC Services.”

PC aims to develop PC Online Services, or PC Smart. This program will support all the main functions of academic processes, including database management.

This opportunity for team building fostered strong relationships among PC instructors and staff members, enhanced instructors' teaching, and improved support staff services and systems upgrades.
