“During my senior year, I volunteered as a staff for ‘MUIC Meet and Greet,’ an event for visiting lecturers and staff from MUIC’s partner universities abroad. I was tasked with greeting the guests and demonstrating the making of Thai flower garlands. Though I was taught how to make them a couple of days before the event, I was feeling quite confident because I finished almost 10 garlands before the guests arrived (I think I made more than 20 garlands on that day!) It was enjoyable and calming, but the most fun part was interacting with people visiting the booth. They asked a range of questions from the name of the flower to the cultural significance of flower garlands. I was delighted to answer while helping them finish their crafts. I even learned something new about their cultures from the conversation we had. Looking back, it was the moment I realized how much joy I felt when I was able to help others while simultaneously learning about the world through their eyes. I believe it was one of the factors that helped me decide what career path I could pursue.”
Your advice to MUIC students?
“Don’t be afraid to become who you want to be. Try things. Be good at them and be bad at them! Because in the end, the most important thing is to just do it! It only takes one step forward and a leap of courage to start your adventure. Put a little faith in yourself and just go for it!”

“Every minute spent at MUIC was very memorable. Friends, seniors, and professors gave me precious memories. I had the opportunity to participate in the freshman activity called Rubnong, and it was the starting point for me to have good relationships and connections at MUIC. I once had to study until 3 a.m. to prepare myself for exams, but luckily I have a lot of friends and seniors who gave me tutorials and stayed with me for a whole night.”
Your advice to MUIC students?
“Studying at MUIC might be tough but I believe you guys can get through this. College life makes you more independent and it is the time to challenge yourself and realize your potential. However, don’t be too stressed, just do your best and enjoy every minute.”

“My most memorable experience in MUIC was when I was in 1st Year. When we were studying in programming class, the professor gave a group assignment to create a program that is related to a random keyword. Our group loves gaming, so we tried to think of a game related to the keyword. But back then, we were young and so ambitious about programming that we wrote a collection of mini-games instead. We created a text-based game where the player can choose which mini-games to play. We were so proud of our assignment and ourselves. My fellow group members became my closest friends in MUIC.”
Your advice to MUIC students?
“Enjoy your stay at MUIC. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the campus is beautiful and lively. MUIC offers many clubs and activities for you to try (with no obligations). Do not study just in class, but also find ways to participate in extracurricular activities. It will lead you to meet more people and seize opportunities.”

“Being a teaching assistant for science lab classes in biochemistry, microbiology, and occasionally molecular biology is among my memorable experiences here at MUIC. I was able to meet and talk to younger students. I enjoyed the time that I had reviewing the lab procedures and scientific theory in order to explain and guide the students through the semester. Seeing them understand and know what they’re doing gave me butterflies somehow, probably because it was like seeing myself in their position. Aside from this, I also get to review my scientific knowledge; this, I believe, made me remember some of the principles by heart.”
Your advice to MUIC students?
“If you already have a goal in mind, keep going; you will attain it. But if you feel lost during this journey, don’t worry. You are not alone; many others are still finding their own path to reach their goals as well. I think it’s a lifelong journey. Try to do a lot of things during your time as a student: Study hard, join clubs, and spend time with your friends.”
Ms. Punnaros “Khao” Rodsakul

- Secretary, Tourism Hospitality and Management Club (THM Club) (2020-2022)

“One of the most memorable moments I had was spending time with my friends as we prepared for major exams. Before midterms or finals, we would meet up and form study groups which mostly consisted of quiet study sessions. Anyone in the group can ask any questions about the lessons we were reviewing. We then worked through any uncertainties by helping each other out. The feeling of helping my friends get through mental roadblocks is something I truly cherish.”
Your advice to MUIC students?
“MUIC provides students with unique opportunities and experiences, including outdoor activities, a wide variety of student clubs and free access to academic papers and programs. I strongly advise newer students to fully utilize these opportunities. Alongside the freedom of planning your own course, the environment of MUIC also allows students to enjoy their student life. There are many unique experiences to be had that are not derived from the classroom alone. With this in mind, I urge all students to not fear the unknown, to go out there and try new things. But most importantly, to never stop learning.”
Mr. Chanon “Pun” Anektanasup
Major: Computer Engineering
GPA: 3.88
Current Status: Business & Integration Arch Analyst, IT One Co., Ltd.
“My most memorable experience was when I had an opportunity to be a teacher assistant to freshmen. I enjoyed watching them study and learn new things. I like observing how others work and hearing their opinion about a certain topic. By checking their works as part of my job, I also gained knowledge from them and adapted those techniques on my work as well.”
Your advice to MUIC students?
“Students trying their best to get high grades may cause them to feel unhappy and stressful. In the university environment, we can freely choose courses and be able to adjust our schedule by ourselves. It is important to choose courses that you are interested in or familiar with or at least take courses with your friends in order to avoid a stressful working environment. Enjoy your life as a university student, and balance your life with studies and leisure.”
Studying in MUIC indeed is not just about learning inside the classroom. Aside from valuable lessons they learn from their teachers, MUIC students also benefit from the rich and varied student activities that they can participate in. In both cases, they can both be a fun and exciting experience!
