The first ever HLD Homecoming Day event was held on November 17th, 2023. This being the 9th year since the launch of the Intercultural Studies and Languages program, it was the first opportunity to invite our growing base of alumni back to MUIC, to connect with our students, and to share their experiences and advice. The event was attended by all first-year ICIC students, HLD faculty, the ICIC student ambassadors, and other members of the HLD family. The day included a meet-and-greet between first-year students and their academic advisors, a lunch reception with alumni, an alumni panel discussion, and presentations by students who participated in the Summer-Abroad language learning program.

We thank all who participated. It was wonderful expression of solidarity among all involved in the program, and a unique opportunity for our current students to imagine their possibilities through the stories of our alumni guests. We look forward to building on these connections made, and uncovering new pathways for the students of the ICIC program.
