The MUIC Class Committee team (CMM) organized a “Rubnong Day”at the LA Building, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University with 500 students and 93 staff on October 12, 2024.
“Rubnong Day”is a cherished and highly anticipated MUIC event designed to warmly welcome new freshmen into the MUIC community. It gave freshmen the special opportunity to connect with their peers and seniors, building meaningful relationships that will support them throughout their university journey.
This event allowed the new students to gain valuable insights into campus life, explore the university’s rich traditions, and learn about the core values that bring the community together. More than just an orientation program, “Rubnong Day”was a celebration of unity, excitement, and the shared experience of education.
The day was packed with a variety of activities, including interactive games, team-building exercises, and motivational talks by alumni and university leaders. These activities were thoughtfully planned to engage participants, entertain them, and instill a sense of pride in being part of the university family. “Rubnong Day”also highlighted the importance of collaboration and support among students. It emphasized the role of seniors as mentors and guides, whose experiences and advice can help the new freshmen overcome challenges and make the most of their time at university. These connections encourage the young students to dream big, explore new opportunities, and take confident steps toward achieving their goals.
In addition to its fun and engaging aspects, the event served as an introduction to the university’s traditions and values. Juniors (or the new freshmen) learned about their role in maintaining and contributing to the vibrant culture of the institution. Whether it is through shared meals, bonding activities, or cultural performances, “Rubnong Day”creates an immersive experience that inspires and motivates participants.
By the end of the event, the new freshmen left with fond memories, a deeper sense of belonging, and a stronger connection to their new academic home. “Rubnong Day”is more than just a welcome event—it is the foundation for a meaningful and successful university journey.
