We believe our students can answer these questions as they explore the fascinating nature of science and the science of nature with us here at MUIC. We seek to develop students who are highly proficient in critical thinking and active learning, and we have challenged ourselves in producing highly competent science graduates for a globalized world. Our program offers majors in Applied Mathematics, Biological Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Food Science and Technology, and Physics—with courses designed not only to provide them the basic knowledge, but also associated skills and aptitude.
Why study Science?
Some Outstanding Points of Science
- Science is all around us, from condiments in your kitchen to the smartphone in your pocket. A good understanding of how they work will improve your quality of life.
- Learn fundamental knowledge that leads to innovation.
- Great job opportunities. You can go into scientific research, financial sector, medicine, education, you name it.
- High interaction between faculty members and students because of small class sizes.
- One of a handful places in Thailand offering full international programs in Science.
Accreditation and Recognition
- Our Chemistry program is the first in Asia and the third outside the US to be recognized by the American Chemical Society under the ACS Recognition of Global Programs in Chemical Sciences.
- Our Computer Science program is the first international undergraduate computer science program in Thailand accredited by the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).
- Scholars in the Development and Promotion of Science and Technology Talents Project (DPST) sponsored by the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) to study abroad can apply to Applied Mathematics, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science and Physics programs.
