For students with academic performance problems, the academic counselor, who reports directly to the Assistant to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, will keep track of each students academic performance through the information available on the SKY system. Students with academic performance problems will be identified by using the criteria set by Mahidol University. The academic counseling process includes
(1) a warning message on the SKY system;
(2) a formal notification (letter) issued by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs which will be sent to the students parents or guardians to inform them about the students status and the universitys academic standard policy; and
(3) arranging a meeting with the student (in some serious cases parents will be invited) during the trimester to discuss the students problems and the universitys policy. The student can make an appointment for academic counseling via the Office of Academic Affairs.
