BA Division and SET Academy Organize "Sustainability in Business Practices" Lecture

On June 10, 2024, the Business Administration (BA) Division of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), in collaboration with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) – Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Academy, organized the 4th session of “Sustainability in Business Practices” special lecture series at Room A402, Aditayathorn Building.

The event featured two distinguished guest speakers: Ms. Yuwadee Aiamsontusup, ESG expert and former CEO of Selic Corp. PCL, and Ms. Kamonchanok Areerat, Innovation and Sustainability Manager at Thai Wah PCL.

Ms. Yuwadee discussed sustainability in corporate strategy, highlighting the balance between business success, people, and the planet. She provided industry examples to demonstrate how sustainability can be integrated into corporate planning and action. She emphasized the importance of understanding the business, top management support, and clear communication of targets for successful sustainability.

Ms. Kamonchanok focused on reducing environmental impact, enhancing social well-being, and ensuring good governance to boost business competitiveness. She shared insights from the agri-food industry, specifically the Thai Wah’s “From Farm to Shelf” strategy, which promotes resource efficiency, sustainable farming, and biodegradable materials.

This event, part of a trimester series, brought renowned ESG experts to share their experiences with business administration students at MUIC, preparing them to become future business leaders in Thailand. The students were enthusiastic about learning directly from these industry leaders.

MUIC and the BA Division expressed their deep appreciation of all the distinguished speakers as well as to the SET-ESG Academy Team for this exceptional learning opportunity, and look forward to welcoming them again in the near future.
