Change of major Trimester 3/2024-2025

Request & Submission 26 May – 13 June 2025*
Qualified Applicants (ID 588XXXX and onwards)

  1. Complete at least one trimester of study by the time of making request.
  2. Never have been approved for change of major before.
  3. Be qualified according to the particular qualification of each Division.
    Note: Students who entered MUIC with non-Math admission and want to change to the major which
    requires Math will have to meet the admission criteria by passing SAT or ACT Math test.

Processes:

  1. Meet all the specified criteria by the requested major.
  2. Request at ‘Change Major' via the SKY+ during the change of major period.
  3. Wait for the staff to send the 'change of major form' to you via email after requesting via the SKY+.
  4. Acquire all required authorization signatures.
  5. Submit the completed form via email by 13 June 2025.

*Those students who would like to change a major to
Communication design and Media and Communication should submit a request by 4 June 2025.

Information and Requirement for FAA division
Communication Design

  1. Portfolio: Students must submit their portfolio at FAA Division by Thursday, June 5 th,
    2025 before 2:30 PM.
    Please kindly carefully review and follow all the CDP Portfolio Requirements (without
    exception) via this link; https://muic.mahidol.ac.th/eng/wp-
    content/downloads/admissions/CDPPortfolio_Requirement.pdf
  2. DO NOT include anything in your portfolio that is not 100% your own work. It is
    not allowed to submit work “borrowed” from other sources, as your own work in your portfolio.
    Portfolios containing unoriginal work will be rejected. We will not interview any transfer
    students who have not completed all portfolio requirements.
  3. CUM GPA of the change major students must not be lower than 2.00.
    Interview
    Friday, June 6 th , 2025 from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM FAA Meeting
    Room (A632/1), the 6 th floor, Aditayatorn building. The announcement of accepted applicants
    will be on Wednesday, June 11 th , 2025.

Media and Communication
Students need to follow these protocols:

  1. Before making a request, students need to make sure their current CUM GPA is 3.00
    or above. Hold MATH score which meet the admission requirement.
  2. Students need to send 1-2, A4-pages statement of purpose explaining why they want to
    transfer and/or submit examples of the creation of media works/products and submit to the
    Program Director by emailing the sample of the work and the proposal to
    nunnapan.pua@mahidol.ac.th
    The deadline for the statement submission is between May 26 – June 5, 2025, by 5:00 PM.
  3. If students pass the first stage, the interview will then be scheduled on June 10, 12:30
    PM at FAA meeting room
    (A632/1), 6 th floor, Aditayatorn building.
  4. The announcement of successful candidate will be made on June 12 th , 2025.
