ISC’s “Late Late” Talks about Social Acceptance and Burnout

The International Student Committee (ISC) of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) has been diligently organizing the “Late Late” event on October 3 and November 7, 2023 with the primary objective of fostering a stronger sense of unity and belonging among the diverse student body of MUIC.

“Late Late” is a group therapy style activity where participants can enjoy sharing perspectives, ideas and advice on progressive topics. For “Late Late,” there were two topics, one was “Friendships and Fitting In,” and the other was “Burnout and Losing Motivation.”

There was a lineup of activities along with a group discussion session for participants to share their ideas, receive advice as well as make new friends. Activities included agree/disagree, question discussion as well as a speed dating activity to make new friends. Everyone who participated felt like they were able to relate with one another over their issues regarding burnout and were able to evaluate themselves on how to deal with stress and burnout better.

Many students who participated in the “Late Late” event expressed their enjoyment in the meaningful conversations and the opportunity to make new friends within the diverse group of students and varying opinions. ISC said it hopes to keep “Late Late” a success and invites everyone to come join their “Late Late” events in the future!
