MUIC Holds “2nd Innovative College Event (ICE)”

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) held the second “International Collaboration Event (ICE)” on February 9, 2024 at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building.

This event, jointly organized by the Research Promotion & Management (RPM) and Academic Services (AS) sections, was aimed at showcasing the innovative and creative academic products of MUIC’s faculty members. It was also meant to encourage collaboration as well as promote the college’s external research funding.

Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., MUIC Dean, delivered the opening remarks followed by an insightful keynote address from Prof. Hikari Ishido, Vice Dean and Professor of International Economics, Chiba University, Japan.

This was followed by the “Forum of International Collaboration Event to Leverage Research and Academic Services Synergy” featuring the following panel speakers:

- Professor Hikari Ishido, Chiba University
- Dr. Johannes Dingler, University of Konstanz
- Mr. Marco Rudin, Swiss-Thai Chamber of Commerce
- Dr. Ryerson Christie, University of Bristol
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shu-Hsiang (Ava) Chen, Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University

In the afternoon, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean for Finance and Human Resources, was joined by Dean Chulathida in formally opening the four zones of the exhibition session, including:

- Zone 1: Academic Services Projects
- Zone 2: Existing International Research Collaboration
- Zone 3: Potential research collaboration
- Zone 4: Potential strategic partners in research and academic services
