MUIC Holds Online Study Tour 2021 Program for Marquette University

Mahidol University International College (MUIC), in collaboration with Marquette University,USA, organized the “Online Study Tour for Marquette University”from December 14, 2020 to January 11, 2021.


Due to the Covid-19 situation, MUIC offered the study tour to be held online under the theme “Business Culture of Southeast Asia: Thailand.”Severalstudents of Marquette University earlier enrolled in a class on Thai business and culture. Both live and recorded sessions werescheduled to match the US time zone where the participants were located.Aside from the academic courses, the participants were also given a virtual tour ofThai companies they are interested in. Several MUIC alumni who work inprominent companies in Thailand like ERA, Homepro and Awaken Me, were also invited as speakers in order to share information about their respective employers.This gave the participants a chance to discuss the business culture in Thailand.


The Project Development Unit (PDU), which organized the event, expressed appreciation for the support of Prof. Jamshid Hosseini, Prof. John Peterson, and Prof.Douglas O.Smith of Marquette University, along with their students;Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuntana Udomkit, Dr. Kanix Bukkavesa,Asst. Prof. Dr. Malinvisa Sakdiyakorn, Dr. Ploy Sud-On,Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, and AjarnWimonsiri Hemtanon of MUIC and also the MUIC alumni who participated in this project.


The PDU said that MUIC tries its best to give participants an enriching educational experience even though they could not have a face-to-face program due to the pandemic. They added that they hope that the participating universities would have a continuing collaboration with MUIC.
