Student recipients of a government scholarship grant for university studies abroad can now choose to enroll in five Science programs of Mahidol University International College (MUIC).

The Development and Promotion of Science and Technology Talents Project (DPST) said five MUIC Science programs have been recently made eligible for the scholarship grant. These include the Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Biological Science programs.

Under this arrangement, the scholars can choose to enroll in either of these MUIC programs while waiting to go overseas. They also have the option to complete the undergraduate program in MUIC instead.  The scholarship grant also covers master’s or doctoral studies.

The DPST scholarship is provided by the Thai government in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology. The scholarship aims to produce new scientists by supporting students who have a strong potential in the fields of science and technology.
