MUIC Student Wins At International Design Awards

MUIC > Alumni News > MUIC Student Wins At International Design Awards

January 14, 2017, Ms. Haeji An, a student from the Communication Design Program of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) was selected as one of the Merit Winners of the HOW International Design Awards.

Her entry entitled, “Upon a Doi” was the Outstanding Achievement winner under the Student Category.

The winning work was inspired by the hill tribes of Thailand who live on a “doi” (which means “hill” in Thai). Their traditional way of life is interesting while the view from the doi is fascinating. This project’s goal was to make a tourism campaign that will encourage Thais to travel in their own country, especially in the hill areas upcountry. As one of the winners, the project was digitally featured on the website How design.com and would be published in the Spring 2017 issue of HOW Magazine.
