Music Club Stages “Battle of the Bands”

For the first time after the pandemic, the Music Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) resumed its much-awaited “Battle of the Bands.”

Out of 11 bands that had sent their audition videos, five were selected to be the finalists. They were: WongWan, TuengPria, TempoLessIssue, NearByChair, and Oeoeeoe.

They performed live during the first day of IC Fair on March 1, 2023 in front of numerous students in the parking lot of Building 1. Popular votes were added to the votes cast by the Music Club officers and at the end of the day, Wongwan was declared the winner, followed by TuengPria as 1st Runner-up and TempoLessIssue as 2nd Runner-up.

First-prize winner Wongwan received 3,000 Baht cash prize. It is composed of the following students:

1.     Ms. Arkkarapa Pornchokborvorn (IRGA)
2.     Mr. Krittapas Submanee (Marketing) 
3.     Mr. Ananda Boonchai (Media and Communication) 
4.     Mr. Krongsup Piyaboonsitti (Finance)
5.     Mr. Pacharapong Limpanachokchai (Media and Communication)
6.     Mr. Worapon Rangchangkoon (Marketing) 

The 1st Runner-up, TuengPria, received 2,000 Baht cash prize. The band is composed of:

  1. Mr. Parit Vacharaskunee (Computer Science) 
  2. Mr. Pongsakorn Sukklay (Communication Design)
  3. Ms. Nataly Ljungars (Media and Communication)
  4. Mr. Tanakrit Chiewcharn (Media and Communication)
  5. Mr. Pipu Vacharaskunee (Marketing) 

The 2nd Runner-up, TempoLessIssue, received 1,000 Baht cash prize. The members are:

1.    Mr. Sirawich Chayutkul (IRGA)
2.    Mr. Worathon Thanyakornworakul (ICIC) 
3.    Mr. Jiraphat Phuengmak (Creative Technology)
