The Nature Lovers Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) collaborated with the Science Society Club in a project called “A Green Thumb” from February 2, 2023 to March 23, 2023.

The activity was separated into two parts, namely, the composting and planting. During the first part of the activity, the students sifted the composted soil and mixed other materials to make it suitable for plant growth.

In the second part of the activity, the participants put the compost in their plant pots. Then, they spread the seeds of alfalfa, a type of microgreens, onto their compost. After the alfalfa grew, it can be collected and made into food.

The students enjoyed sifting the soil and planting the alfalfa. As alfafa grows very fast, there was a competition among the participants on who can have the best-grown alfalfa within two weeks. The five participants with the best-grown plants won a 300 Baht cash prize each. The Nature Lovers Club congratulated and thanked all the winners for their dedication.
