PC Academic Workshop Q4-2019

The Preparation Center for Languages and Mathematics (PC) invited Dr. Paul Wadden to conduct an academic workshop for its teachers on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 PM. Dr. Wadden’s workshop was titled “Teaching Vocabulary for Academic Purposes” and focused specifically on the learning context of PC students – English as a foreign language (EFL). Nineteen instructors attended, including the Director and Assistant Director of the program. 

Dr. Wadden is a tenured Senior Lecturer in the English for Liberal Arts Program, College of Liberal Arts, International Christian University, Japan. He has been collaborating with PC since 2009, when he served as a member of the PC curriculum development committee. Dr. Wadden previously conducted academic enrichment workshops for PC instructors in 2010 and 2014.
