Mahidol University International College (MUIC) held an information session for “Pathways to Study Medicine at SGU: A Foundation Year and Scholarship” on May 28, 2019 at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building.
This orientation about MUIC’s pathway program to a medical science degree in partnership with St. George’s University (SGU) was attended by almost 50 high school students, along with several MUIC students, who were interested in pursuing a career in medical science. The MUIC Dean, Assoc. Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, MD, also attended the event.
Mr. James Coey, MBBS (UK), Assistant Dean of Basic Sciences SGU KBT, Newcastle UK, discussed the MUIC-SGU joint program, including the admission criteria and curriculum.
He conducted a Q&A session and held a mock-up class about “Human Microbiome” with a break-out session for small groups. MUIC alumni also shared their medical school experiences.
