Outbound Student Qualification
To apply for study abroad, students must meet the following requirements:
- Maintaining Active Enrollment: The student must be actively enrolled and not on probation.
- Academic performance: Students must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Applicants must have completed at least 12 credits in major-specific courses, enrolled at MUIC, and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 at the time of application OR
- For applicants who have not yet completed a minimum of 12 credits in major-specific courses, must earn grades of "O" (Outstanding) or "S" (Satisfactory) in General Education courses, enrolled at MUIC - Serve as a positive representative of MUIC at the partner university by maintaining good academic standing and upholding a positive conduct record.
Before studying abroad, students must meet the following requirements:

Have completed at least three trimesters of study at MUIC

Be at least 18 years of age

Participate in the Buddy Program with the Student Exchange Office or participate in international guest relations activities at MUIC

Meet any additional requirements set by the partner university
* Alternative activity related to networking platform of the new coming inbound students (event organizer, artwork designs and etc.) will be applied to some specific circumstances for the MUIC applicants.
* For international guest relations activities, you will be interviewed and properly trained by the International Relations Unit before you meet and welcome guests. If you are interested in these activities please contact the student exchange unit at room A244 B.
All outbound student exchange applicants are required to participate in international Buddy Program for at least 1 trimester. You will provide us a brief summary of your activities or anything you and your buddy have experienced together during the trimester. About International Buddy Program
You will be linked with one or more incoming study abroad students at MUIC to help these students to settle their stay in Thailand.
You will show them the campus facilities (tram service, library, sports complex) and how to use them.
You should be the first contact in case your buddy needs basic help in the practicalities during their time at MUIC

About international guest relations activities
(3 participations to be substituted for buddy program)
Each year MUIC organizes activities for international study abroad students. You will help these students to settle their stay in Thailand. The usual events will be

Buddy Plus (IA Student Co-Organizer)

About Buddy Plus
Buddy Plus — also known as IA Student Co-Organizer — is a special role for current and former MUIC Buddy Program members who want to take the next step beyond being a buddy.
As a Buddy Plus member, you will work closely with the International Affairs (IA) Office as part of the student co-organizing team, supporting real IA events, especially inbound student welcome activities and visits from partner universities with a professional and warm approach under IA staff supervision and guidance.
This role is ideal for students who enjoy connecting with international students, learning about different cultures, and gaining hands-on experience in event organization, teamwork, and cross-cultural communication.

Qualifications & Eligibility
- Must be a current or former member of the MUIC Buddy Program.
- Commit to participate in approximately 70% of assigned key IA events is required by considering your academic schedule carefully before applying.
- Understand and follow MUIC communication guidelines when acting as a student co-organizer, and share only trusted and validated information.
- Service-minded, enthusiastic, and responsible.
- Good command of English.
- Able to work as a team and manage time effectively.
- Selection Process: A short conversation will be arranged to get to know you better.
Your Duties: A glimpse of Schedule
Buddy Plus members contribute across three stages:
Before: preparation meetings and tasks
During: on-duty event support
After: reflection and improvement discussion
You will be part of the core team running these key activities each trimester for 1 year starting from the end of Trimester 3 of current year until the end of Trimester 3 of the following year:
