Location is crucial to any business. This is a point that the THM Club tried to make when it held its “Irresistible Location” contest during January 17 – February 4, 2022.

The contest attracted 29 participants from whom three winners were selected. Here is the list of the winners and the prizes they received:

Amika Chaytri, Winner, prize: 300 Baht Grab voucher

Pitchapa Bovornsantisuth, 1^st Runner-up, prize: 100 Baht Grab voucher

Yaxi Nancy Zhao, 2^nd Runner-up, 50 Baht Grab voucher

Contestants had to submit a new business idea emphasizing how their proposed location would be appealing to their target market. The contestants were then asked to add their business ideas on a map on a website called “Padlet” wherein they can pinpoint their preferred location. After customizing their pins, they had to screenshot their work along with a description of their idea and post in on Instagram Story with the hashtag “#MUICIrresistibleLocation” as well as tagging two of their MUIC friends and the THM Club.

Aside from generating good business ideas, this contest encouraged contestants to improve their critical thinking and business skills.
