Workshop on “Active Learning and Engagement” Conducted

The Strategy and Academic Development Group of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized a workshop entitled “Sharing Excellence on Active Learning Approaches (ALA)” on September 20, 2019 at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building, Mahidol University Salaya campus.

The topics included “Introduction to the Workshop: Active Learning Approaches” by Dr. Nigel Gould-Davis; “Problem-based Learning” by Assoc. Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., Dean of MUIC; “Game-based Learning” By Asst. Prof. Dr. Ornlatcha Sivarak, and “Project-based Learning” By Asst. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn.

More than 40 full-time lecturers attended the workshop which gave the participants a clearer understanding of active learning in higher education, developed effective and reflective practices to promote active learning, and exchanged information and expertise among academics.
