Alumnus’ Startup Wins in “FinTech Challenge 2018”

Congratulations to Mr. Phuwarat Norchoovech, a Computer Science alumnus from the Class of 2008!

“Credit OK,” a fintech startup which he co-founded and in which he is also the Chief Product Officer, won the Innovative FinTech Award in the recent FinTech Challenge 2018: The Discovery, receiving a cash prize of 200,000 Baht.

“Credit OK” seeks to unlock working capital for the supply chain and micro entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia. With more than 50% of the workforce comprising solo and small entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia by 2020 and with the rise of sharing economy and digital supply chain network, the company aims to help them to get financing and improve their cash flow through deep tech credit scoring, alternative data and lending platform.
There were 12 finalists in the competition that was organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission-Thailand, Thai Fintech Association, Bank of Thailand and Office of Insurance Commission.
