MUIC Holds Orientation for 150 Inbound Students

The Student Exchange Unit of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized an orientation on January 3-4, 2019 for 150 inbound students from Germany, USA, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Brunei, Singapore and others who have enrolled in Trimester 2 of Academic Year 2018-2019.

Assoc. Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, MD, Dean of MUIC, gave a welcome speech and discussed general information on staying safe and healthy in Thailand to the students. Dr. Alexander Nanni, Associate Dean for International Affairs; Dr. Brian J. Phillips, Advisor and Natural Science Lecturer; Ajarn Arpaporn Iemubol, Associate Dean for Administration; and Ajarn Wimonsiri Hemtanon, lecturer of the Humanities and Language Division; also shared general and academic information and presented an Introduction to Thai Language and Culture.

Afterwards, the students went on a field trip at the Community Local Learning Center (“Bann Bang Plub”) in Samut Songkram Province to learn more about Sustainable Agriculture and Sufficient Economy. They also visited Baanbenjarong Bangchang and Siladol, the porcelain-making community, where they had fun making and painting Thai ceramic porcelains for the first time.
