Dr. Alexander Nanni, Associate Dean for International Affairs, and Ms. Worada Apirat, Head of the Project Development Unit, represented Mahidol University International College (MUIC) at a symposium celebrating the 70th anniversary of Chiba University on November 1-2, 2019. The event was held in the university’s Nishi-Chiba campus in Chiba, Japan.
At the symposium, Prof. Takeshi Tokuhisa, President of Chiba University, gave a speech on Chiba University’s new project called “ENGINE” which establishes the requirement for each student to go abroad during their enrollment at Chiba University. Through close partnership, MUIC will fully support this project.
During the event, Dr. Alexander Nanni, who is an affiliate professor of Chiba University, delivered a speech titled “Development of Global Human Resources at MUIC,” which emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between the two institutions. With a longstanding relationship between MUIC and Chiba University, MUIC has received 368 incoming students from Chiba University. There are several upcoming collaborative projects: The International Conference on Resources and Human Mobility in December 2019, international activities by the Student Committee for Environmental Management System (SCEMS) in February 2020, an English language program in February-March 2020, and a short course for KIZUNA (an English language program for high school, junior high school, and elementary school) in March-April 2020.
MUIC and Chiba University will continue to develop and expand this valuable relationship in the future.
