MUIC Signs MOU with UOB to Provide Executive Training to Bankers

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) signed with United Overseas Bank (UOB) Thailand a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for “Banker’s Executive Certification Program 2019.”

Assoc. Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, MD, MUIC Dean, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veera Bhatiasevi, Project Manager, signed on behalf of MUIC while Mr. Tan Choon Hin, UOB Thailand Chief Executive Officer and President, signed on behalf of UOB Thailand during a ceremony held on April 1, 2019 at Charinyarasmi Hall, Aditayathorn Building, MUIC.

“This (executive program) is significant because it is MUIC’s chance to deliver its brand of academic excellence in teaching as well as its innovative  knowledge in digital banking, blockchain technology  and other up and coming skills that bankers will need to thrive and to relate to their customers,” Dean Chulathida said.

“We asked MUIC to develop for us a program that will equip our bankers with the relevant knowledge that will contribute to UOB’s further growth. We in UOB believe that quality people could only result in an organizational success,” Mr. Tan said.

This program is aimed at facilitating the almost 30 participants’ understanding and application of customer acquisition techniques, customer management and team management as related to SMEs in the Thai banking industry, for example, digital banking, blockchain technology, risk management and others.
