MUIC’s Graduate Studies: Raising Tomorrow’s Business Leaders

A graduate studies program takes its students to the next level—updating their industry knowledge with the latest trends and inputs from service professionals and business leaders at the same time imbuing them with leadership qualities and managerial skills.

The program directors of MUIC’s two graduate programs give an overview of how they develop tomorrow’s business and industry leaders:

MBA Program Director

“MUIC’s MBA program is designed to equip individuals with entrepreneurial and innovative thinking, knowledge and the must-have transferable skills of the 21st Century and global competency.

“Graduates of MUIC’s MBA program are fostered to expand their horizon from mindset, behavior and application by pursing an academic research or industry-related project tailored to their career goals and interests. There were such experiential learning and business field trips, real-world scenarios, interactive lectures and case studies, business simulation, specialised training and up-to-date workshops like machine learning, renowned guest speakers and an international study trip/virtual executive seminar, networking, team building, CSR and extracurricular activities involving cultural diversity – all of which are helpful for both personal and professional development, thus, enhancing success in their lives.

“As a recently appointed MBA Program Director, we continue to revise and make continuous improvements on the program and its curriculums, learning activities, assessments and student experiences to develop the next generation of academic and industry-ready applied researchers, future business leaders and entrepreneurs who can challenge the status quo and address real world issues in both the public and private sectors – given the dynamic business environment and the rapid emergence of new technologies that continue today.

“MUIC’s MBA graduates have at their disposal a wide-ranging spectrum of career opportunities with the essential qualities of business owners, analysts and strategists, general managers, consultants, product developers and innovators, among others, in areas of business development and management, innovation and entrepreneurship.”

Dr. Sarinya Sungkatavat
Program Director, MM Program

“Practitioners cannot lead or succeed in the market if they do not know what it takes to be competitive. MUIC graduate students’ essential qualities include the ability to conduct necessary research and use data when making important decisions. Another marker is to be flexible, adaptive, and ready to change while balancing art and science in their management based on knowledge and information acquired through research.

“Our MM graduates mainly aim to pursue their careers in the industry. Thus, our mission is to deliver to them what they needed to be successful. In the tourism and hospitality industry, entrepreneurs require knowledge and skills in both art and science. Thus, we provide both in our curriculum. In addition, all MM lecturers keep themselves updated and provide vivid practical examples when teaching. On top of that, as our industry is super dynamic and our people frequently deal with changes and disruptions, the MM program teaches and trains our students to be flexible, adaptive, and prepared for change. It is not just to react, but to be proactive in order to be ahead in the industry.”

Whether you are a staff member, a budding entrepreneur or a company supervisor or a newly minted bachelor’s degree holder, you can increase your chances to be successful by entering graduate school. MUIC offers you the opportunity through its graduate studies programs.
