MUIC’s Marketing Students Win 1st Prize in “Global HealthTech Hackathon Challenges 2019”

Three Marketing students from Mahidol University International College (MUIC) won 1st Prize in the “Global HealthTech Hackathon Challenges 2019” held on September 20-22, 2019, at Innogineer Studio, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.

Mr. Tin Trough, Ms. Yanisa Suanse, and Ms. Sujika Singhaparn, who comprised the “Selfin” team, were given a 20,000 Baht cash prize for their winning entry, “Marketplace for ADHD Children.”

Organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, together with the National Innovation Agency (NIA) and Royal Academy of Engineering, United Kingdom, the “Global HealthTech Hackathon Challenges 2019” was a 3-day, 2-night competition in which people worked in groups on software or hardware projects, with the goal of creating a functioning product by the end of the event.

The competitors based their products on briefs given by experts, staff, and patients of Siriraj Hospital. On the last day, they presented their products during the “Business Pitching” stage. The criteria were presentation skills, problem-solving skills, and time management.
