MUIC’s Student Sleuths Join “Sigma Detective 101”

Mahidol University International Club’s (MUIC) Sigma Club organized “Sigma Detective 101” at the Science Division office, 6th Floor, MUIC Building 1, on June 27 – 28, 2023.

The 80 participating students grouped themselves into teams of 4-5 people each to work together as detectives to solve a fictional murder mystery within the time limit. Crime scenes, evidence, and witness statements were given to help participants deduce the identity of the murderer. The team that solved the case with the least amount of time won.

The purpose of this activity was to encourage critical thinking and teamwork. By going through the game, rational judgment was required to complete the challenges. The club said it hopes to encourage participants to think outside of the box and use good reasoning skills while enjoying themselves with their peers.
