High School Students Flock to MUIC Open Days 2019

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) welcomed an estimated 2,362 visitors—high school students with their teachers and parents—during “MUIC Open Days 2019” which was held on August 23-24, 2019 at Aditayathorn Building MUIC, Salaya Campus.

The students—a large number of whom were interested in pursuing their bachelor’s degree studies at MUIC—learned a lot about the College during the two-day exhibition event which had the theme “The Matter of Being Different.”

Assoc. Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., MUIC Dean, officially welcomed the visitors at Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building.

Among the highlights were two talks, the first featuring Asst. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phontanukithitaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology; Mr. Pobek Pornpongmetta, an alumnus; and Mr. Peter Denman, a current student. The second session had two alumni as guest speakers: Mr. Anupong Kuttikul, CEO of Carnival Supply co. Ltd., and Ms. Monica Singh, Managing Director of G.M.L. Group.

There were also exhibition booths for MUIC’s 16 majors, giving the visiting students the opportunity to learn more about the degree programs they are interested in. They also attended mock classrooms to experience a typical MUC class session. Many of them participated in mock interviews and took listening tests. For those interested, groups of visitors were given guided tours of MUIC’s facilities. All of these activities were peppered with fun activities topped by lucky draws.
