The Preparation Center for Languages and Mathematics (PC) of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) has been hosting a visiting instructor, Kerry J. Pusey, who has a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from Northern Arizona University, USA.
Ajarn Kerry, who taught PC level 3 in Quarter 4/2018, commented on his experience at PC:
“Teaching at PC/MUIC has been a challenging, but very rewarding experience. The PC Program is an intensive course for both students and teachers alike, and it is through this rigorous approach, I believe, that students are truly able to make significant gains in their language ability. Similarly, due to the intensive nature of the Program, teachers must be highly adept in their craft and strategic in their planning, in-class teaching, and feedback/advising in order to make the best use of their time. Through my participation in the PC Program, I have honed my teaching craft and gained many valuable insights into language education and curriculum development that I will take with me into my future teaching endeavors. It has been a real pleasure working with my generous and creative colleagues–that is, the other teachers in the PC Program, as well as the hard-working, dedicated PC students. I have no doubt they will go far in the future! Last but not least, I am incredibly thankful for the PC administrative staff, who have also been extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive throughout my time here. I will definitely come back to Thailand in the future and hope to see many of the wonderful people I’ve met again!”
We would like to thank him and extend our appreciation for his contributions to PC.
