THM students in their second or third year of studies are required to take this three-month on-campus internship at the Salaya Pavilion Hotel and Training Center. It is committed to train students in tourism and hospitality industry practices and management. By working in the hotel’s 43 guest rooms, two gourmet restaurants, guest bar, bakery outlet and five function rooms, students gain real-life experience and genuine insights into the running and management of a fully-operating hotel.
Once THM students have completed their studies and fulfilled their academic requirements, they are required to undertake this second 3-month internship. Students can choose either domestic internship or international internship in tourism and hospitality fields, such as hotels, airlines, travel agencies, tour operations, F&B firms, event organizers, tourism-related organizations and others. They will be evaluated by the firm’s supervisors and the Internship Program Manager.
