Social Science Division Invites British Diplomat to Discuss Brexit

The Social Science Division of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) invited Mr. Simon Lever, Political Counsellor of the British Embassy, to talk about the topic “Brexit: Why Has It Been So Difficult – And What Will Happen Next?” at the Seminar Room on March 21, 2019.

More than 100 students and faculty members attended the event. Mr. Lever outlined the Brexit situation by tracing its history before discussing the reasons why it is a very complicated situation. He also presented several scenarios on what will happen next, along with briefly touching on Brexit’s effects to the UK’s relationship with Thailand.
