Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) International Relations and Global Affairs Program organized on October 6, 2022 an on-site film screening of “Shusenjo – The Main Battleground of the Comfort Women Issue,” the first event in its guest lecture series.

A joint project with the Model United Nations Club, the film screening was followed by an exclusive Q&A session with the director, Mr. Miki Dezaki. The event, including the discussion, was moderated by Dr. Hardina Ohlendorf, a faculty member of the Social Science Division.

The activity was aimed at expanding the attendees’ academic curiosity and endeavors for issues related to gender and the historical context surrounding comfort women. The organizers said they hope that the attendees will explore such themes in greater detail and aspire to make use of such knowledge in “transforming the world.”
