Division Overview

We are Thailand’s first higher education institution that has been offering an international program in Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) since 1986. The program is designed for producing future leaders in the tourism and hospitality industry. Our goal is to adequately equip students with analytical skills based on a problem-based learning approach so that they can develop a more focused appreciation of specific issues related to case studies and find constructive solutions. The THM Division has a strong reputation for producing graduates who become leaders in their chosen profession. Many of our alumni have achieved excellence in their chosen field. We have excellent networks with our alumni and the tourism and hospitality industry and have a growing international reputation for quality education. We are the first undergraduate programme in Thailand who receives double awards for quality assurance in education namely the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), and UNWTO.TedQual by the United Nation World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Why study THM?

  • Worldwide, the travel industry has recorded consistent growth despite economic crisis. This strong trend is expected to continue into the future.
  • Thailand’s tourism and travel sector contributes over 20% of GDP, and expects to experience growth when we think long-term.
  • The fast-growing service and experiential sectors give a good potential to new market segments, such as health and wellness, sport fitness or elderly care.
  • The fast-expanding sector has strong demands for young talents. Obtaining a degree in the field will prepare you to exploit these opportunities.
  • Many skills from studying travel and service business entrepreneurship can be transferred to other fields, particularly in the industry dealing with experiential products.
