Write MUPSF Application Series 2

Title: Write MUPSF Application Series 2

Date and Time:  Friday, September 15, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Venue: Charinyarasami Hall, Aditayathorn Building (MUIC)

Conductor: Asst. Prof. Dr. Chompunuch Pongjit and Dr. Brian Phillips

The OAA Strategy and Academic Development Section presented a “Write MUPSF Application Series 2” workshop. Dr. Brian Philips, one of MUIC’s first batch candidates, delivered the second workshop on MUPSF form completion after the first’s success.

MUPSF standards comprise 31 criteria separated into four levels: fundamental teaching, teaching for a specific group, cross-disciplinary teaching, and educational policy leadership. To ensure universities’ reputation and accountability to stakeholders, this criterion helps academic staff reach higher teaching quality standards.

MUIC’s MUPSF committee reviews applicants’ qualifications prior to the MUPSF evaluation at the university level. The committee’s consensus evaluation of the applicant will be sent to MU Academic Affairs and the relevant parties for certification. Instructors who meet the MU’s minimal MUPSF Level 2 criteria will receive a certificate. Successful MUPSF level 3 and 4 grantees will also receive a cash reward.

Teaching/supported evidence is required from the applicants, ensuring that they meet quality requirements with high personal and professional conduct. MUPSF is based on the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF); hence, applicants qualified for UKPSF are eligible at the same achievement level.
