BBA & SET-ESG Academy Host Lecture on “Sustainability in Business Practices”

On February 29, 2024, the Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) program of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) had the pleasure to host a special lecture in collaboration with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) – ESG Academy.

The session was dedicated to the topic of “Sustainability in Business Practices” and it featured two prominent guest speakers from the industry: Ms. Sineenuch Kokanutaporn, the Managing Director at Thai Eastern Group Holdings (TEGH) PCL, and Ms. Prasnee Surastian, the First Executive Vice-President responsible for the areas of Corporate Governance, Planning, Risk Management and Sustainability at Frasers Property Thailand (FPT) PCL.

In these presentations, Ms. Sineenuch and Ms. Prasnee highlighted the pivotal role of sustainability in their respective businesses. Ms. Sineenuch shared how sustainability has been ingrained in her family agribusiness practices for decades, enabling them to create value for stakeholders while sustaining their competitive advantage in future markets and regulatory demands. Ms. Prasnee discussed how sustainability has transformed her company’s business model, emphasizing the importance of reducing environmental impact and prioritizing social sustainability to enhance the experience of tenants. Both cases demonstrate the success of integrating sustainability as a core component of their international competitive advantage.

This event was a remarkable occasion for the engaged audience of business students and lecturers to interact with and gain knowledge from these real-businesses experiences. MUIC and Business Administration Division expresses its deep appreciation of all the distinguished speakers as well as to the SET-ESG Team for this exceptional learning opportunity, and looks forward to welcoming them again in the near future.
