MUIC Team Competes in Asian Business Case Tilt in Singapore

The Mahidol University International College (MUIC) Business Case Team participated in the Asian Business Case Competition (ABCC) held on August 16-20, 2023 at Dao by Dorsett in Singapore.

The team consisted of four experienced and competent business students from the MUIC Case Club who have taken part in numerous case competitions, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onnida Thongpravati, who guided them throughout their journey. The members included:

1. Yanisa Sirisomboonchok (major in Finance, minor in Business Economics)
2. Narinya Yingcharoenthana (major in International Business, minor in Tourism and Hospitality Management)
3. Priya Nawani (major in Applied Mathematics)
4. Dharmawat Jiraniti (major in Finance, minor in Computer Sciences)

In this international case competition, the team competed in a 24-hour case centered around the sustainable ecosystem of DHI’s properties and their attempt to tackle customer centricity, facing off against world-class talent from teams around the globe. This business case was organized by NTU Business Solutions Case Club, part of the Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU).

The team had the opportunity to stay at Dao by Dorsett, the latest addition to DHI’s hospitality portfolio, which provided them with an immersive insight into the case. This experience extended beyond just staying in a room and deepened the team’s understanding by exposing them to the actual atmosphere and service of the hotel.

“Taking part in the international ABCC case competition proved to be an incredible learning experience for our team. It demonstrated to us the value of teamwork, creativity, and storytelling in developing successful strategies. The competition not only underscored the significance of cultivating relationships but also highlighted the benefits of studying other participating teams, our new friends. Moreover, it served as an invaluable learning opportunity for the entire team, expanding their comprehension and global perspective within the realm of international business competition,”  according to the team’s members.
